A) No Shootouts. Ties are broken by one-game playoffs (1GPO), head-to-head record (H2H), or a roll of the 20-sided die (D20 roll).
B) No one can be eliminated from the playoffs from a D20 roll or H2H record and no one can receive the first round playoff bye from a D20 roll or H2H record. A 1GPO, or series of 1GPOs will break all such ties.
C) In all cases of ties, teams are first ranked according to HTH records, with ranking ties broken by a D20 roll. Seed 1 refers to highest ranked tied team, Seed 2 the second highest and so on. [Exception: HTH records are only used for ranking when the HTH play is balanced (i.e. the tied teams all played each other the same number of times). If HTH play is unbalanced, D20 rolls are used to rank teams.] When HTH records are used to determine final playoff seeding, 1GPOs are included in the HTH record calculations.
D) For all 1GPOs, the higher ranked team is the "home" team and the park dimensions are the averages of the ballpark singles and homers for the two parks (round toward 10).
E) Starting Pitching in 1GPOs: From a starting pitching perspective, 1GPOs or a sequence of 1GPOs are a daily continuation of the regular season for each game played by a team. Starting pitching stays in rotation – for any 1GPO, a team may use any eligible starter according to normal rules for its games played, without regard to games played by other teams.
F) Relief Pitching in 1GPOs: the bullpen resets for each 1GPO game, but no reliever may pitch more than 2 innings.
